About the role
As a QA Tester Intern, you will play a critical role in our product development lifecycle, ensuring that our AI-powered applications meet functional, performance, and security expectations. This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical mindset with a passion for testing, debugging, and improving software quality.
This 100-day unpaid internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced AI startup environment, where you will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to identify and resolve software defects before launch.
Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for AI-powered applications.
- Bug Identification & Reporting: Detect, analyze, and report software defects, collaborating with engineers to ensure timely resolution.
- Automation & Manual Testing: Conduct both automated and manual testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- User Experience (UX) Testing: Ensure that AI-generated outputs meet user expectations, detecting inconsistencies or errors.
- API & Integration Testing: Validate the integration of AI models and backend services through REST API testing tools.
- Agile Collaboration: Work within an agile development framework, actively participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and structured test documentation, including test cases, bug reports, and release notes.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide insights and recommendations to improve software reliability, performance, and usability.

- Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Candidate requirements
- Experience: Prior QA testing experience (academic projects, bootcamps, or freelance work) is a plus, but not required.
- Education: Currently pursuing or completing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of QA methodologies, test case development, and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana).
- Automation Knowledge (Preferred): Exposure to Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or similar test automation tools is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying software issues.
- Agile Mindset: Familiarity with Scrum/Kanban methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
