To drive this vision, the company is hiring a Head of AI to establish its AI division in Singapore, lead AI productization efforts, and build a high-performing team of 5–10 AI engineers after joining.
Role Overview:
The Head of AI will lead the company’s AI strategy, overseeing the development and deployment of AI-powered solutions for business applications. This role involves transforming AI research into practical, commercial products, particularly in areas like risk control, sales automation, and customer engagement.
As the first AI leadership hire in Singapore, the successful candidate will define the company’s AI roadmap, build the team from scratch, and ensure successful delivery of high-impact projects. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Global Business CEO and working closely with regional stakeholders across Singapore, Japan, and Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
1. AI Strategy & Leadership:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business goals.
o Lead AI initiatives focused on commercialization, not just R&D.
o Build and manage a team of 5–10 AI engineers after joining.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into business platforms.
2. Productization & Deployment:
o Drive end-to-end AI product development, from ideation to production deployment.
o Focus on applied AI, particularly NLP, computer vision, speech recognition, and large language models (LLMs).
o Ensure AI solutions address real-world business challenges, such as risk control, underwriting, sales automation, and customer engagement.
o Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
3. Technology Innovation & Advancement:
o Stay abreast of cutting-edge AI trends and apply them to the company’s business context.
o Lead key technology initiatives, ensuring continuous innovation and improvement.
o Foster a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and commercial success.
4. Cross-Border Collaboration:
o Work closely with senior stakeholders in Singapore, Japan, and Mexico.
o Ensure seamless communication and execution across international teams.
Key Requirements:
• At least 8 years of AI experience, with a focus on applied AI and commercial productization.
• Proven track record of deploying NLP, computer vision, LLMs, or speech recognition into production environments.
• Experience in AI-driven business platforms, such as risk control, sales automation, or customer engagement.
• Strong leadership experience, with the ability to build and manage AI teams from scratch.
• Industry Focus: Candidates must come from internet, technology, or commercial companies.
• Education: PhD/Master’s degree or higher in AI, computer science, applied mathematics, or related fields.
