JOB DESCRIPTION


We're looking for an Unity Engineer to join our team for a 3-month contract, with a possiblity of extending after.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement gameplay systems using Unity and C#, both for UI and 3D.
  • Implement UI design specifications and ensure consistency across different platforms and screen sizes;
  • Implement backend logic for features using Unity Services.


Ideal candidate:

  • +4 years of experience.
  • You’re located in a country whose time zone is close to Santo Domingo’s or Brazil (AST or GMT-3).
  • You’re able to speak and write English at a professional level.
  • Shipped at least one commercial title on Desktop platforms, even better if it’s on Steam and for multiple operating systems (Mac, Linux, Windows).
  • Early Access / Beta releases count.
  • Proficient in Unity and C#: you’re able to:
  • Implement features autonomously, integrating assets provided by the rest of the team (I.E: artists).
  • Use profiling tools such as the Memory Profiler and Frame Debugger to understand where performance bottlenecks are.
  • Discuss and negotiate with Game Designers about what can be implemented and what not depending on the technical constraints of the project.
  • Use standard GUI frameworks to implement in-game UIs.
  • Worked in a fast-paced startup environment where you had to “wear many hats” when needed.


Bonus points if…

  • You have experience with 3D game development and cinemachine.
  • You experienced the full life cycle development of at least one Live Service commercial game, from concept to release.
  • You published 1+ games on Steam.
  • You have experience with WEB3 and Blockchain.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • You have a passion for card games, videogames, anime, manga and the otaku culture;
  • Willing to grow your soft, technical and managerial skills over time at Obitus Games.
