On behalf of our client, ESOC, we are looking for a skilled
Cloud Operations Engineer join our team distributed over the ESOC site, in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (Telekom, OVH, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) to meet the needs of the organization.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and cost-efficiency. Identify and resolve bottlenecks, performance issues, and cloud resource limitations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation) to streamline cloud deployment processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement and enforce best practices for cloud security, including access control, identity management, data encryption, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Respond to requests in timely manner, update the request tickets and provide feedback.
- Respond to and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and effective root cause analysis. Participate in post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with internal and external teams, to integrate and optimize cloud solutions within the broader organizational infrastructure.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide continuous improvement ideas, suggestion and support the team in implementation.
- Provide regular updates to the team leader/Service Manager.
Profile
- Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, and networking
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to dive into troubleshooting
- Certification in AWS (Certified Cloud Practitioner) or Microsoft (Azure Fundamentals), or similar, is an advantage
- Experience with T-System Open Telecom Cloud (OTC)
- Experience with other Cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure, OVH)
- Knowledge of Openstack, Kubernetes (K8s) and VMware
- Knowledge of Network elements like VPN, Firewalling, Routing, NAT
- Knowledge of following products: OPNsense, Centreon, Graylog, Grafana, Ansible, Terraform
- Knowledge of DBs management (example MariaDB)
- Knowledge of storage in Cloud (vblock, S3, Object Storage)
- Team player mindset, with an efficient thinking focus in a procedure-driven working environment
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work autonomously
- Fluency in English (Written and spoken)
