The Role
My client is looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Product to lead the evolution of their platform. This role is responsible for defining and executing a forward-thinking product strategy, ensuring seamless user experiences and driving innovation across global payroll and payments technology.
The Head of Product will oversee the entire product lifecycle, working closely with outsourced development teams, UI/UX designers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. This is a critical role that requires deep expertise in human capital management (HCM), global payroll and enterprise SaaS.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy and Vision
- Develop and implement a product strategy that aligns with business objectives, focusing on human experience management (HXM) and global payroll.
- Drive the evolution of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market needs, compliance requirements and customer expectations.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, anticipating future challenges and opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Product Development and Execution
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements.
- Work closely with outsourced development teams to build scalable, automation-driven solutions that enhance the platform’s efficiency.
- Define clear business requirements, user stories and workflow documentation to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain a strong focus on optimizing product performance, scalability and security.
- User Experience and UI/UX Collaboration
- Advocate for a user-first approach, ensuring the platform delivers an intuitive and seamless experience.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate customer insights into compelling product features that enhance usability.
- Continuously gather feedback from users to improve functionality and optimize workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with engineering, marketing, customer success and operations teams to align product initiatives with broader company goals.
- Communicate product vision, progress and milestones to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Ensure alignment between product, commercial and compliance teams to maximize adoption and impact.
- Global Payroll and Payments Expertise
- Leverage deep industry knowledge to ensure product innovations meet compliance standards across multiple jurisdictions.
- Optimize integrations with global payroll providers, financial institutions and payment processors.
- Develop strategies to simplify complex global payroll and payment workflows for customers.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Use data analytics, user feedback and market research to prioritize product enhancements and optimize performance.
- Continuously assess product usage, identifying opportunities to improve adoption and retention.
- Implement A/B testing and performance tracking to measure the success of new features and improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a results-driven product leader with a passion for building innovative, user-centric solutions in global payroll and payments. They have a strong technical background, deep expertise in HCM technology and a proven track record of leading product teams in enterprise SaaS.
Experience and Expertise
- At least 5 years of experience in product management within HCM, HRIS or global payroll technology.
- Strong track record of launching and scaling enterprise SaaS solutions.
- Deep domain knowledge in workforce management, payroll compliance and global payments.
- Experience collaborating with UI/UX teams to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Expertise in managing outsourced development teams and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.
