Backend Developer - Django/Python
Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for the development, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of the REST API service. This role requires a deep understanding of Python and Django. The ideal profile is a proactive person with initiative, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for tackling the challenges of complex development. Since this is an internal project, we aim to build a team of specialists in each area to ensure we have the necessary skill set for the best possible development.
Location: This position is for our Mexico City office. The company will handle all Relocation and VISA processes for international candidates.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Back-End infrastructure and REST API.
- Collaborate with the Front-End development team to integrate new features.
- Optimize workflows and improve system efficiency.
- Design and manage relational and non-relational databases.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for communication between different services.
- Ensure platform scalability, performance, and security.
- Conduct unit testing and software debugging to ensure functionality.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Back-End development with Python.
- Back-End development with Django (preferred).
- Experience in designing and managing SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Availability to relocate to Mexico City (VISA processes covered by the company).
Desirable
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Linux, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with asynchronous development (Asyncio, Celery).
- Understanding of messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Redis).
- Previous experience in the financial sector or trading platforms is a plus.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
