About the job

Henesis is looking for an Android Developer to join its growing and highly motivated Software Engineering team. The successful applicant will work on the development of a medical device for tele-rehabilitation (ARC-Intellicare), based on wearable inertial sensors and a mobile application.

Henesis has its headquarters in Parma, an office in Pisa and Padova. Closeness to Padova is preferred, but we will also consider the proximity to Parma office. Hybrid working is also available. While being able to work closely with others, he or she will also need to demonstrate the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

The developer will be responsible for the implementation and support of new and existing applications. Responsibilities include:

Developing high quality software as well as unit and integration tests. Take a proactive role and ownership of the code you work on.

Constantly improve the quality of our products by fixing bugs and refactoring the code base, where necessary.

Coordinating with the Product Owner, team members and other stakeholders to meet business objectives.

Participating in project planning sessions, providing development estimates .

Stay up-to-speed with new technologies and continually improving and updating their technical knowledge and skills.

Required Criteria

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Strong computer science fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience in app development with Android SDK
• Acquainted with version control systems, preferably GIT
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Eligible to live and work in Italy (Italian work permit or citizen of EU country is a must. Relocation is required.)

Desired Criteria

• Experience in unit testing
• Experience in Jetpack compose and JNI
• Knowledge of client/server architecture, networking and security protocols, RESTful api
• 1+ year of working experience in related topics is a plus
