Private Cloud - Kubernetes
Do you want to build software that impacts millions of customers worldwide, solving some of the world's most sophisticated e-commerce challenges? We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our Platform Engineering super track to lead our Private Cloud - Kubernetes software engineering team in our Amsterdam HQ.
You will primarily lead and develop the engineering team responsible for the Kubernetes platform, ensuring the development of both (the individual and team as a whole) are in line with organisational objectives and direction. You will be responsible for timely delivery of new features and with good quality. In addition to this, you will confer with leaders, and key customers, resolve engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, scalability and time-to-market for new and existing products.

What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of platform engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability leading and managing a team of engineers in a fast-paced and complex environment
- Strong people leadership skills and experience dealing with sophisticated people issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field or 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty as equivalent
- Strong Golang programming skills and Kubernetes internals knowledge
- Strong business and technical vision
- A deep understanding of reliability engineering best-practices and consistent record of shipping platforms at scale
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
- Solution oriented and result driven
- Proactive, flexible and capable of working independently as well as working in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical skills and data-driven mentality
