Cloud Architect (relocation to Belgium) in PORTUGAL

We are looking for an experienced Java Cloud Architect ready to relocate to join our Client's team in Brussels, Belgium.

As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for helping design, implement, and optimize cloud environments for both legacy and new assets. You will play a key role in enabling and improving cloud-native solutions, automation, and DevOps pipelines to support modern application development and deployments.

Your Responsibilities

• Cloud Design and Implementation:
• Develop and implement new technologies and tools to support cloud environments.
• Ensure efficient and scalable cloud-enabling processes for existing and new assets.
• Architect and build solutions following architecture rules and standards.
• Automation and Deployment:
• Automate deployments using tools such as Jenkins, DigitalAI, and Terraform.
• Create and manage deployment automation for Middleware, Database, and Web products.
• Build and maintain automation platforms for continuous integration and deployment.
• DevOps and Tool Enablement:
• Leverage DevOps best practices, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), and Process Automation.
• Design scalable CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Enable tools that support Development, Testing, Quality, and Collaboration.
• Programming and Infrastructure Expertise:
• Develop scripts and work on automation tools using Linux, Shell, and Python programming.
• Ensure the efficient use of infrastructure such as Containers (Docker), Redis, PostgreSQL, Node.js, Helm Charts, CFT, and more.
• Provide technical guidance and support on critical components of cloud architecture.
• Cloud Enablement:
• Establish and optimize strategies for transitioning to the cloud environment.
• Act as a technical expert for cloud-related projects and ensure compliance with architecture standards.

Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements

• Strong knowledge of production environments, including both hardware and software aspects.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Deep understanding of automation and deployment tools, such as Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with architectural guidelines, standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java to provide technical support and address architectural challenges.

Preferable Skills

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Expertise in tools such as DigitalAI, Helm Charts, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Cloud architecture experience in IBM BNPP Cloud (dMZR) environments.
• A sound understanding of PostgresSQL and Redis setup for cloud applications.
