Senior DevOps Engineer | Azure, Terraform, Dev Background | Tech for Good
This is the chance to work for a unique organisation! Our client is a not-for-profit charity that reviews/certifies companies, governments and financial institutions for their environmental impact and awareness.
Our client is the main global authority that certifies and monitors the environmental impact that companies/governments have on the natural environment. Essentially, they provide the equivalent of the “Fair Trade” sticker that you would see on a jar of coffee but for businesses and local governments.
The organisation is over 20 years old, headquartered in the UK with an office in central London and has 700 staff globally (100 circa in the UK).
This role is fully remote from the UK with the benefit of being able to work anywhere in the world for 6 months of the year.
Essential Skills:
- Azure Cloud Expertise: Deep understanding of Azure services and infrastructure.
- Terraform: Extensive experience in using Terraform to automate and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Strong Development Background: Solid understanding of development practices, including coding, integration, and deployment.
What you will do :
- Optimise DevOps processes, procedures, and methodologies across the engineering teams.
- Leverage Terraform to automate and manage cloud infrastructure at scale.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines.
- Integrate and enforce code quality standards to ensure maintainable, scalable solutions.
- Implement proactive monitoring solutions to identify and resolve issues early.
What you will bring:
- Passion for environmental sustainability and knowledge of the sustainability space is a plus.
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Experience using Azure-native tools such as App Services, Function Apps, and Container Apps.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead the team, advocate for DevOps best practices, and influence adoption across the organisation.
