Job description:

Java Developer (m/f/d) for Credit Risk Applications - Relocation to Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Your tasks:

• Develop the IT system "Risikomethodenpool," the central credit risk calculation core, large implementation packages are planned in the form of change visions. These will be implemented in an agile collaboration model, alongside the diverse and varied requirements of the bank, in close cooperation with the business department.
• In this context, you will take on process activities in software development and maintenance of applications, focusing on technical design and realization in the Java environment within a distributed big-data architecture.
• You will conduct functional analyses, develop pragmatic solution proposals together with business analysts, and participate in the subsequent testing.
• You will also use the regulatory requirements necessary in the banking environment, such as compliance checks, to ensure the required quality.
• We look forward to your ideas for the further development of our tools and the optimization of our processes, which you will document using framework management.

Requirements:

• You impress us with a degree in a STEM field or a comparable qualification.
• Through your several years of professional experience in application development, you have gained solid experience with Java and Java batch processing, and you are familiar with software architecture principles.
• You are comfortable with application design and operation, and agile methods, including Scrum or scaled frameworks like SAFe, are also familiar territory for you.
• You are also confident with SCM and continuous integration tools such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, or Nexus.
• Experience with Hadoop, Scala, and Apache Spark is an advantage but not a must. We will train you in these technologies and continue your development.
• You impress personally with analytical sharpness, dedication, and a passion for simplifying complex concepts, as well as strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new things.
• One final note: Our business language is German, so we look forward to your ability to communicate fluently in both written and spoken German.
