We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Data and AI Organization. This role requires a product-oriented mindset, a deep understanding of cloud security, networking, and observability, and expertise in building, automating, and deploying complex services in AWS environments.
As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure while mentoring junior engineers and leading best practices in cloud deployment and automation. You will play a key role in driving cloud data infrastructure excellence and ensuring resilient, secure, and high-performing AWS-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
Automate complex deployments, monitoring, and security tasks to ensure seamless operation of production systems.
Lead initiatives to enhance system performance, availability, scalability, and security across AWS services.
Serve as an expert on AWS networking, security, and monitoring, implementing best practices for cloud governance, compliance, and security policies.
Collaborate with product managers and development teams to align infrastructure with product vision and roadmaps.
Leverage AWS-native and third-party observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus) to monitor system performance and manage incidents effectively.
Mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance on cloud infrastructure, Python scripting, automation strategies, and DevOps best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and trends to enhance the team’s cloud capabilities.
Key Qualifications
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a primary focus on AWS environments.
Mandatory exposure to Snowflake for cloud data solutions.
Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation / Terraform.
Proven experience in automating cloud deployments and scaling services in production environments.
