Are you a cybersecurity professional specializing in threat detection & incident response and responsible for identifying, analysing, and responding to security threats?


This new role involves threat hunting, incident response, forensic analysis, and active engagement in preventing future attacks. The Cybersecurity Analyst works with security tools, conducts investigations, and collaborates with other teams to ensure that the organization maintains a strong overall security posture.


Key areas of focus include the identification of suspicious behaviour, analysis of logs and system data, and rapid incident response to mitigate any security breaches or vulnerabilities. The role also involves maintaining and refining security playbooks, handling escalations, and supporting strategic improvements to the organization’s overall cybersecurity infrastructure.


The Role

The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for protecting the organization’s data, systems, and networks from cyber threats by actively monitoring, detecting, and responding to potential security incidents. This role is vital to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information across the organization’s environment.


The analyst will work to minimize the impact of security incidents by managing the full life-cycle of incident response, from detection to resolution. Additionally, the role seeks to proactively identify weaknesses in the organization’s defences, helping to evolve security practices through the identification of trends and vulnerabilities, and collaborating with IT and security teams to bolster overall security. The role is integral to the continuous improvement of the organization’s cybersecurity resilience.


This position is fully remote, based in Poland, Romania or Croatia, reporting to the Manager of Cybersecurity Detection and Incident Response.

Key Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Analyst responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor for and respond to security incidents, including triage, investigation, mitigation, and post-incident review.
  • Analyse logs, traffic data, and endpoint indicators to identify potential threats and security vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify potential security incidents within the environment.
  • Provide detailed reporting and analysis of threat trends and emerging cyber risks.
  • Support the development and tuning of SIEM rules, alerts, and dashboards for improved threat detection.
  • Maintain and improve incident response playbooks and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to proactively safeguard the organization.


The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Cybersecurity Analyst are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a cybersecurity-focused role, with significant exposure to threat management or incident response.
  • Certifications: One or more industry certifications such as: GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) & GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
  • Strong working knowledge of threat detection and incident response tools, such as SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS solutions.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to streamline security tasks.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise environments including a strong understanding of Windows (Windows 10/11, 2016/2019 Server), Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL), Active Directory, Entra ID, and similar technologies.
  • Experience working in cloud environments with associated security tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team, while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to high-priority incidents as needed.
