Malware Analyst - Web Browser Vulnerabilities

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid Work Arrangement)

About the Role - Our client are seeking a skilled Malware Analyst to analyze Chrome extensions for security vulnerabilities. You will conduct extensive code reverse engineering, identify potential security violations, and document findings. Your expertise will help take down malicious extensions and enhance our team's capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct static and dynamic analysis of Chrome extension code.
• Document security violations and suspected code.
• Remove malicious extensions from the web store.
• Identify new patterns in extension analysis and update the team.
• Act as a technical consultant for clarifications and team development.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Strong development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, Angular.
• Good understanding of Node.js and Webpack coding.
• Cybersecurity knowledge is an advantage.
• Expertise in code reverse engineering/debugging with front-end technologies.
• Extensive exp JavaScript Prototype in Plain, Detailed Language, JavaScript Variable Scope and Hoisting JavaScript Closures, JavaScript Callbacks, JavaScript “this”, Bind methods
• Strong Experience in working with Bootstrap, AJAX and AngularJS
• Good Experience in performing DAST and SAST for web applications - Web applications Vulnerability testing , security assessments and recommend remediations

Pay range and compensation package - €30.000 - €50.000 per year (Dependant on experience)

Relocation Packages available within the EU.
