Role overview
As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and ensuring high performance, scalable and responsiveness to requests from the front end.
You will collaborate closely with our front-end developers and other team members to deliver an optimal user experience.
What We Look For:
- Proficiency in English: You should be able to comfortably read, write, and speak in English.

- Team Spirit: You're someone who excels in a team, demonstrating a fine balance between patience and assertiveness, and can effectively communicate and collaborate with others.
- Eagerness to Learn: While familiarity with Python, Node.js, Git, GitHub, SQL and AWS is a plus, it’s not a requirement. We value your willingness to learn new technologies and will provide the necessary training to get you up to speed.
- A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience as a Python developer is essential.
- Python programming language and its associated web frameworks, such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Hands-on experience working with relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc. Ability to design, optimise, and maintain complex database schemas
- Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of cloud services, serverless architecture, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems and services.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Design and implement APIs to support new and existing features.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and integrity by implementing industry best practices.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate these issues.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to our operations.

- Competitive salary: For those with a few years of relevant experience, the salary 200,000 LKR per month. As you gain experience and turn it into a major impact, your pay can grow rapidly.
