We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer willing to relocate and join our team in Brussels, Belgium.

Role Overview
As part of the Digital and Data team, you will assist the organization in leveraging data as a critical asset to achieve strategic goals, drive innovation, and improve product accessibility and functionality. You will join an Agile Data Organization built on collaboration, flat hierarchies, and a focus on continuous development and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
You will primarily work within a Product Team, focusing on the following tasks:
- Develop and implement data pipelines and efficient storage solutions with technologies like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure Functions.
- Engineer scalable data exchange endpoints and materialized views for analytics and other business use cases.
- Write and enhance Python scripts in a Databricks environment for data processing and enrichment.
- Support Power BI report and dashboard development.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and develop reusable, integrated solutions.
- Perform extensive solution testing while promoting DevOps principles in the team.
- Create, structure, and maintain technical documentation for data solutions.
- Support data governance processes, including data quality improvement, lineage, glossary building, and modeling.
- Continuously improve data products for coherence, reuse, and adoption across the enterprise.
What You Will NOT Be Doing
- Acting in isolation or in an "ivory tower" mindset—collaboration is at the heart of this role.
- Delivering standalone technical solutions—your work will focus on delivering integrated product features that align with business objectives.
Mandatory Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency with:
- SQL Server for data querying and management.
- Building data pipelines using Azure services (Databricks, Data Factory, Functions, etc.).
- Writing Python scripts for data enrichment.
- Developing analytics and visualizations in Power BI.
- Fluency in English (mandatory). Knowledge of German, Dutch, or French is a plus.
- Willingness to work with and learn additional technologies like Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow.
- Experience in end-to-end data engineering processes, including collaboration, testing, and governance.
