THE ROLE & THE TEAM


Zalando Payments is responsible for the end-to-end checkout experience for all Zalando customers. As Software Engineer for Risk Management, you will work collaboratively with applied scientists to deploy and maintain machine learning algorithms. Importantly you will maintain the inference point in the backend and the data that is provided to machine learning algorithms. You will help build and maintain the platform for training and productionizing, and work in a dynamic cross-functional team.

Fashion retail imposes many interesting challenges on the payment experience that we address through tailored deferred payment options and other products. Finally, you will make sure the product complies with the demanding and high standards of the fintech industry.


WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF



  • You consistently demonstrate a customer centric approach and start to flag continuous improvements initiatives within your area.
  • You are proficient in Java, and have some experience with Spring Boot.
  • Have a familiarity with SQL, No SQL, and Postgres databases.
  • Understand RESTful APIs and SOAP protocol.
  • At least some of the above, and a strong willingness to learn.
