Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Website Annotation & Frontend Developer with fluency in German (C1/C2 or Native) to contribute to a specialized project focused on web functionality, structured annotations, and frontend improvements.


About the Project

This role involves:

  • Creating structured Q&A annotations based on website screenshots to assess navigation, functionality, and user experience.
  • Sketching web layouts and structures (both simple and complex) to visually represent website elements.
  • Editing and optimizing website code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to improve usability, responsiveness, and accessibility.
  • Ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy for German-speaking users by adapting content accordingly.
  • Maintaining structured documentation for all code modifications, including clear references to files and lines edited.


The project requires strong analytical thinking to develop reasoning-based Q&A tasks, analyze complex web structures, and implement technical refinements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Website Annotation & UX Enhancement – Develop in-depth Q&A pairs with bounding boxes, highlighting key site functionalities.
  • Frontend Code Modifications – Improve web performance and accessibility through targeted HTML, CSS, and JavaScript updates.
  • Website Sketching & Structuring – Create simple and detailed sketches of web page elements for structured representation.
  • Cultural & Linguistic Adaptation – Ensure that website changes align with German language and user expectations.
  • Clear Code Documentation – Maintain accurate records of modifications, filenames, and version updates.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Language Proficiency: Native or C1/C2 level German with B2-C1 English skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web modifications.
  • Experience: Minimum three years in web design & frontend development with a focus on UX and accessibility.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to analyze and annotate website screenshots with structured, reasoning-based Q&A pairs.
  • Sketching & Wireframing: Experience with tools such as Sketch, Figma, or other digital wireframing software.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess website elements and suggest improvements in functionality and design.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on projects for German-speaking audiences.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices & web accessibility standards.
  • Knowledge of React, Vue.js, or other frontend frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving ability for enhancing website UI/UX.
