Head of Product Development in INDIA

GoPlugable, an Irish startup, is at the forefront of the EV charging revolution, creating the world's largest community-powered EV charging network. We enable EV owners to share their home chargers, enhancing accessibility for all EV drivers.

Role Description:

We're looking for a visionary Head of Product Development to oversee our product lifecycle, from concept to post-launch analysis. You'll work closely with our tech team, engineers, and designers, ensuring our products meet user needs and align with our business goals. This role will be initially be based in Kochi,Kerala with the potential of moving to the UK or Ireland based on product milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans considering Backend development, hardware integration using SOAP, OCPP & OCPI protocol, and mobile application development.
• Lead the product lifecycle, including planning, development, launch, and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for user-centric product development.
• Drive product strategy and vision, aligning with company objectives.
• Oversee product development, utilizing our tech stack and embracing new technologies.
• Relocate to Ireland for closer integration with the core team after initial onboarding.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience managing software development projects.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Market and user research expertise.
• Agile methodologies and project management experience.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• EV or automotive industry experience is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Technical Proficiency:

• Database management with MySQL.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Server hosting.
• Exposure to OCPI and EV charging technologies is a plus.
• Understanding of SOAP protocol and its application.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects with hardware-software integration, preferably in the EV or IoT domain.
