The Manufacturing Systems Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining MES software systems within our manufacturing environments. They ensure seamless integration of the MES with existing ERP and automation systems. The role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, software development, and database management, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain software applications using C#, VB.NET, Python, SQL Server (MSSQL, MySQL), and web technologies for use in our manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software solutions.
  • Implement and test software applications to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software-related issues in the manufacturing environment.
  • Document software designs, code, and processes for future reference and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing software applications, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
  • Develop integrations between software systems, including developing data interchanges with shop-floor machinery.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years experience in software development with proven experience in C# programming.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server databases, including MSSQL and MySQL
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Proven experience working with manufacturing processes and environments, including a deep understanding of MES workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.


NOTE: This role is 100% in-office position and will require frequent in-person collaboration with members of cross-functional teams. It will also require occasional visits to various areas within our manufacturing environments. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
