About Wixdom

Wixdom is the world’s first analytics platform for investment crowdfunding. We currently provide insights into over 20,000 funding rounds across 20 countries and are continuously growing our dataset and capabilities. Our mission is to offer meaningful data and tools to help startups, investors, and researchers navigate the crowdfunding ecosystem.

We’ve recently partnered with the University of Luxembourg and SnT to develop an AI-powered toolbox for smarter startup investment decisions. As part of this growth, we are looking for an AI Engineer to join our team in Luxembourg. The role involves creating as well as continuously evaluating and optimizing LLM-based systems to assist with entrepreneurial decision making.

Before moving to Luxembourg we received prestigious R&D grants in Spain such as NEOTEC, Torres Quevedo and Industrial PhDs, and have been funded by some of the leading angel investors in Spain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in software development or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of Spanish is a valuable plus).

Nice to have

  • Experience with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Basic knowledge of web development concepts and web scraping techniques.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous task orchestration tools (e.g., Celery, RabbitMQ, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with data science libraries, such as Numpy or Pandas.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment, with a proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic culture.

What we offer

  • This role requires residency and the right to work in Luxembourg. While we offer the flexibility of fully remote work, you’ll also have access to office space at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) if desired.
  • For candidates not currently based in Luxembourg, we can assist with the relocation.
  • As part of our collaboration with the University of Luxembourg and SNT, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside leading computer science and fintech researchers. You’ll also gain access to world-class facilities, including the LuxProvide data center.
  • We’ll equip you with a MacBook Pro and offer a competitive salary (46,000 - 56,000 EUR based on experience) for this position.
  • You have the flexibility to organize your work hours as you see fit.
  • We’re a small team, so you’ll be working directly with the founders.
