Job Description

Solstice Labs is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimize our large-scale private cloud operations. As part of a pioneering team at the forefront of institutional-grade DeFi products and services, you will play a critical role in designing, expanding, and maintaining our infrastructure. This role involves overseeing data center operations across multiple global jurisdictions, ensuring the highest standards of security, reliability, and performance. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, you will contribute to the backbone of Solstice Labs' operations, supporting over $1 billion in assets with industry-leading uptime and success rates. Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Architecture & Design: Develop and maintain the architecture for Solstice Labs' large-scale private cloud operations.
• Data Center Operations: Expand and manage on-premise server operations across multiple global jurisdictions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Infrastructure Security: Implement "Secure by Design" principles in infrastructure and data center operations to uphold the highest security standards.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Oversee hardware and software monitoring for large-scale private cloud systems, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Networking & Virtualization: Manage networking infrastructure (routing, DNS, security) and OS virtualization using tools like Proxmox.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm to streamline infrastructure processes.
• Process Innovation: Identify areas for operational improvement, challenge the status quo, and drive innovation in infrastructure practices.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in managing data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking) with a deep understanding of operational best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of networking technologies, including routing, DNS configuration, and security protocols.
• Proficiency in managing all major Linux operating systems and OS virtualization platforms like Proxmox.
• Expertise in monitoring tools for large-scale private cloud operations.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing infrastructure challenges.
• Fluency in English is required.

Compensation

Part (1) Solstice Labs will offer competitive base (fiat or crypto) salaries relative to experience and market rates

Part (2) Team members will be incentivized with token allocations for the TGE of Solstice Labs. Token structures will include a vesting schedule for all team members. Tokenomics to be shared directly with candidates. 

Part (3) Team members will be further incentivized with a variable annual fiat/crypto bonus structure dependent on company performance and profits. 

Bonus Skills

• Experience with multiple Layer 1 blockchains (L1s) for cross-chain development and integrations.
• Familiarity with DeFi applications and protocols, particularly within the Solana ecosystem.
• Knowledge of yield-based products in the DeFi space.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Digital Ocean.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Basic programming knowledge (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React).
