What’s the Gig?
As Payroll Manager, you’ll be the superhero behind ensuring 800-1000 employees get paid on time—and yes, they’ll love you for it. Armed with ADP Workforce Now and backed by a rockstar accounting team, you’ll keep the payroll machine humming smoothly. Reporting to the VP of Finance (aka your ally in payroll perfection), you’ll handle everything from benefits to compliance. Oh, and you might just save the day a few times along the way.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Payroll Wizardry:
- Take charge of semi-monthly payroll for our Canadian and U.S. squads.
- Wave your magic wand over T4s, W2s, ROEs, and other government filings.
- Keep those records tighter than your morning coffee schedule.
Benefits Brilliance:
- Keep employees in the loop about benefits (and possibly impress them with your knowledge of acronyms like WCB and EHT).
- Process enrollments, terminations, and updates like a pro.
- Balance those benefit statements like a payroll Cirque du Soleil act.
Leadership Like a Boss:
- Be the go-to guru for payroll policies and processes.
- Mentor and lead a small-but-mighty payroll team.
- Collaborate with HR to streamline operations because teamwork makes the dream work.
Your Toolkit:
- Certification cred: PLP or equivalent preferred.
- Tech-savvy:ADP Workforce Now experience is a must; HRIS knowledge is a bonus.
- Regulatory pro: You know Canadian and U.S. payroll rules like the back of your hand.
- Spreadsheet skills: Advanced Excel wizardry required (VLOOKUPs won’t scare you).

- Hands-on experience with full-cycle payroll (bonus points for multi-location setups).
- Eagle-eyed attention to detail—you spot errors others would miss.
- Stellar communication skills—you explain payroll so even HR gets it.
