PLATA is a high-tech financial platform that is changing how Mexicans interact with money.


The Finance Business Analyst will be as the intermediary between the Finance and IT teams to build internal IT solutions for the Finance department, including our Data Warehouse (DWH) solution.

The role will involve working closely with the Finance department to analyze internal processes and identify areas for improvement. The Finance Business Analyst will also analyze various IT systems and data sources, formulate technical requirements for the IT team, and create dashboards and planning tools.

Other responsibilities include automating regulatory reporting, OPEX reporting, management reporting, and calculating financial KPIs.


Challenges that await you:

  • Work closely with the Finance department to analyze internal processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze various IT systems and data sources to determine their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Formulate technical requirements for the IT team based on the needs of the Finance department
  • Create dashboards and planning tools to aid in financial decision-making
  • Automate regulatory reporting, OPEX reporting, management reporting, and financial KPI calculations
  • Ensure that all IT solutions meet the needs of the Finance department and comply with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organization
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality in product management, preferably in a finance or technology-related field


What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in product management within finance or tech sectors
  • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management capabilities; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in cross-functional teamwork and turnkey project implementation
  • English proficiency C1


Your bonus skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Familiar with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle Financials) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance
  • Experience with IT development, launching tech products, and agile methodologies
  • Proficient with project management tools (Jira, Asana) and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and programming (Python, SQL preferred)
  • Knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and financial modeling
