Senior Project Manager in NEW YORK CITY METROPOLITAN AREA

Our amazing client is a SaaS oriented company that works in the CPG space, enabling its clients to make informed business decisions through analytics optimization. They are adding a Senior Project Manager that would be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of project delivery to clients, including monitoring and communicating progress, addressing issues and risks, and maintaining all required supporting documentation. The primary focus of this role will be supporting the deployment and operations of their clients. You would work with internal and external teams, including technical, engineering, project management and business teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Candidates must have prior CPG (consumer packaged goods) experience
• No sponsorship is currently available
• Fully remote with 10-15 % travel

What you will be doing:

• Drive all project activity from scope, implementation and through post-implementation review
• Develop project plans, timelines, internal and external communication plans, status reports, analyses, and presentations
• Monitor and track progress and manage adherence to project schedules and ensure accurate reporting of project status
• Engage with client project management resources to ensure common understanding and management of project delivery.
• Proactively identify issues and risks and escalate to business leads, executive sponsors, and key stakeholders as needed
• Engage and manage vendors, as needed, to deliver project-related work
• Work with the Business Lead and Project Lead and to track resources within the project, support the maintenance of the project portfolio resourcing requirements

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in technical, client-facing project management. Experience in a SaaS environment would be beneficial
• Prior experience at a consulting firm (PwC, Deloitte, Accenture, etc.) is a plus
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodology – note that we are not explicitly looking for a Scrum Master.
• Proficiency with Project Management tools like JIRA and MS Project.
• Proven ability to work independently and coordinate multiple simultaneous, inter-connected projects
• Exceptional organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact and communicate to all levels of executive management, project team members, and vendors
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Jira)
