Your Mission:
The Proposal Designer provides graphic design services to our Life Sciences sales business. With your visual creativity and graphic design skill set, your role is to deliver engaging design layouts and artwork for sales proposals and presentations.
You’ll be a key part of our process to create winning sales proposals. Working with other team members, you’ll conceptualize ways to visually communicate our story, including customer-specific graphics, charts, and other visual elements. You’ll work with various software applications (Adobe Creative, PowerPoint, Google, Word) to support both written documents and presentations. Working closely with the team, you’ll collaborate and communicate on what is required, allowing you to manage and deliver multiple projects on time.
You may also connect with Marketing to ensure that all our proposal artwork and templates are on brand, following asset-creation processes. You’ll stay on top of our evolving branding and assets, incorporating this into your work and our proposal templates/library.
This role requires visual creativity, proposal/presentation expertise, and software capability. Preferably, you'll have a background in life sciences or technology to understand our offerings and messaging successfully.
This role reports to the Sr. Director, Proposals & RFx.
This role can be hybrid with regular attendance in any of our offices or remote only.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop proposal graphics and other visual elements that help illustrate key concepts in our sales proposals
- Develop oral presentations (PowerPoint/Google Slides)
- Facilitate discussion with teams to understand proposal objectives and determine how to visually communicate messages, seek and incorporate feedback to finalize deliverables
- Ensure proposal design is visually consistent, on brand, and meets quality standards
- Create and maintain a reusable library of proposal artwork and slides
- Create and maintain proposal templates in Word, PowerPoint, Google Slides (with support from other Creative Services, as required)
- Share ideas with the internal teams on best practices around visual designs, usability, and supporting technologies
- Ensure all deadlines are met
- Other proposal design support, as required
Your Competencies:
- Ability to follow a brief, interpret directions, and formulate artwork from abstract concepts
- Select fonts, colors, and other design elements that align with the company's branding and messaging
- Ability to manage a queue of requests and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced setting
- Clear communication, written and verbal
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when needed to meet deadlines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and techniques to continuously improve the quality of proposals
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Education & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a related role
- Experience in graphic design, visual communications, studio art or related design field
- Proficient with industry-relevant creative/multimedia software, including:
- Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign and preferably Acrobat Pro
- PowerPoint and Word (knowledge of how to create templates), as well as Outlook
- Google suite knowledge is a plus (Google Drive, Slides, Documents)
- Life Sciences or technology background is a plus
