As a
Full Stack Software Engineer at ZEOS, Zalando’s B2B Logistics unit developing Europe’s leading Logistics Platform recently launched under the ZEOS Logistics brand, you will be part of a team working on building and supporting a common platform and ecosystem of partner facing and internal facing products. You will design technical solutions to extend our Zalando Fulfilment capabilities to external brands and partners. Together with an engaged and sophisticated team of engineers and product managers, you will create services that are used internally, by partners and by our web applications.
The Reporting team is responsible for providing accurate, insightful and timely reporting using a Reporting Platform that enables informed decision-making for our partners and drives the success of the organization. Our team is committed to continuous learning and innovation, leveraging the latest technology and tools to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our reporting.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
- Software Development Designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications in accordance with established standards and best practices.
- Problem-Solving Analysing user requirements and translating them into feasible technical solutions. Troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during development or in production environments.
- Collaboration Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Continuous Learning Staying updated with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in software development. Continuously improving skills and sharing knowledge with team members.
- Agile Development Embracing Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to iteratively plan, develop, and deliver software solutions. Actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Microservices Architecture Designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based applications to facilitate modular, flexible, and independently deployable software components.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
- You are highly skilled as a Java Developer. Proven experience in frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JPA and related stuff.
- You have a good understanding of REST services and API design.
- You have hands-on experience with microservices and Event-Driven architectures(Kafka).
- You have a foundational understanding of Python, as we won't be extensively delving into complex data engineering subjects.
- You have some experience with Frontend technologies like JavaScript (ES6 / ES2015), React, Typescript, Webpack, CSS/HTML.
- You demonstrated a strong sense of ownership, entrepreneurial & analytical thinking add to your excellent communication skills (fluent in written & spoken English is a must) and willingness to share knowledge within and outside the team.
- Experience with data engineering topics like Databricks, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, AWS cloud platforms and data modeling will be considered a significant advantage.
- You have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
