Position: Database and Storage Engineer

Location: 100% remote.

Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)

Rate: OPEN PLN/h net on B2B

Start date: Luty 2025

Duration: 12 months first contract

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Database and Storage Engineer to join our DevOps team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining database and storage solutions on Azure. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and scalability of our databases, managing storage solutions, and implementing backup and disaster recovery mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Azure Storage Account and Azure Container Registry (ACR).
• Oversee database solutions including Azure SQL (Elastic Pools, SQL Server & SQL db) and PostgreSQL.
• Implement backup solutions using Velero and manage disaster recovery mechanisms.
• Document database and storage setups and configurations.
• Utilize monitoring tools to track database and storage performance and health.
• Implement security measures for database and storage solutions.
• Provide support and maintenance for database and storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database and storage-related issues promptly.
• Collaborate with support teams to address and resolve incidents and service requests.

Qualifications:

• Intermediate knowledge of Azure Storage Account, Azure Container Registry (ACR), Azure SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Velero, disaster recovery mechanisms, documentation, and monitoring tools.
• Basic knowledge of Helm, Azure Identity and Access Management, and yaml.
• Nice to have: Experience with Ansible, ELK stack, Azure VMs, Prometheus, Grafana & Loki, and Apache Kafka.
