How you will CELLebrate
We are looking for a SAP Specialist based out of the St. Thomas, Ontario office.
For the initial ramp-up phase of our North American operations, we are looking for a passionate SAP Procurement Solutions Specialist who wants to CELLebrate in fast-paced and fast-changing environments. As part of the ramp-up team, you will work closely with local PowerCo SE team members, our PowerCo SE team members at Headquarters in Germany as well as colleagues from the Volkswagen Group Canada in Ajax, ON. Reporting to the Head of Central Functions team, you will be at the forefront of implementing processes and systems and support the business as needed.
This is a temporary flex hybrid model, requiring 2 days in the St. Thomas office.
Primary Responsibilities:
Locally adapt, introduce, control, implement, and monitor the appropriate implementation of centrally developed, company-wide processes and regulations for the procurement management system
Further develop and optimize the procurement processes and regulations in alignment with HQ as well as coordinating, representing, and implementing the results
Define and implement procurement systems in alignment with HQ and in close cooperation with interface partners and monitoring of progress
Further develop and optimize the procurement systems in alignment with HQ as well as coordinating, representing, and implementing the results
Lead and manage complex digitalization projects including the creation, preparation and presentation of the progress in a local and global context
Connection to the global process and system strategy within PowerCo Procurement
Organizing procurement specific trainings and events
Setup, organize and steer local procurement committees
Steer the employee ramp up of the procurement in alignment with HQ
Plane and manage the procurement budget in alignment with HQ
Establish process flows and interfaces to the relevant interface partners in alignment with HQ
Manage, support and steer topics related to the procurement system rollout of SAP S/4HANA, Ivalua and other solutions, user administration, process adjustments, APIs, and test management.
Work closely together with colleagues from the central functions team.
Carry out Continuous Improvement Processes in collaboration with interface partners.
Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.
What you need for our CELLebration
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, mathematics, science, or related field
10+ years of relevant experience in an industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or automotive B2B environment with proven experience in managing procurement processes and systems.
Knowledge of procurement principles and best practices
What else can you bring
Ability to identify and incorporate opportunities for process improvement
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA / Ivalua modules
Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to present information on top-management level
Ability to occasionally travel to Germany to PowerCo HQ for onboarding trainings.
Proven success collaborating with senior business leaders
German language knowledge desirable, but not required
