What are we looking for?
A highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our innovative and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will take a leading role in designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated PHP-based software applications, using advanced frameworks like Symfony and Doctrine. This role requires close collaboration with various engineering teams, product stakeholders, and technical experts to ensure our software solutions meet business objectives and uphold high standards of performance.
What will you be doing?
Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications using PHP and related frameworks, with a focus on Symfony
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and understand requirements, translating them into effective software solutions
Contribute to code reviews to uphold high coding standards and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects, ensuring efficient, effective solutions
Develop and integrate APIs for communication with other systems and services
Emphasize performance, scalability, and reliability in software design and implementation
Ensure application security by integrating best practices for data integrity, confidentiality, and availability
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications and user manuals
Develop and maintain Docker containers for consistent and reliable deployment across development and production environments
Research and recommend new tools and technologies to improve development workflows and software quality
Requirements
What will you bring along?
A minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP development, with proven expertise in Symfony
Proficiency in advanced SQL concepts and experience with MySQL and other ANSI SQL dialects
Solid understanding of software design principles, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and object-oriented programming (OOP)
Experience in using Docker for development and production environments, including container creation and management
Strong knowledge of Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
Familiarity with async programming, distributed computing, and queue systems for optimized backend operations
Proven track record of building scalable, secure, and maintainable PHP applications
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear documentation and effective teamwork
A proactive approach to learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends
Strong time management skills to juggle multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities effectively
