Your new department

Generic IT Services and User Experience (GIT-UX) is a department within NXP IT and has the mission to Secure NXP Growth by delivering Agile, Reliable and Secure IT products and Services against and at benchmark costs, investing in a workforce that drives value for our customers.


Your new team

Global Connectivity is the team that designs, builds and operates the core network infrastructure of NXP. We are a diverse mix with over a hundred network professionals in different levels of seniority that support our network infrastructure and the related components. In our current evolution we transform into a state-of-the-art network capability and are looking for the right talent to help us in our journey.


Your new role

  • As part of the global role, work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, infrastructure, and application teams, to implement security controls and address security requirements.
  • Design, configure, and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
  • Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and standards to ensure optimal network performance, security, and reliability.
  • Perform network troubleshooting, monitoring, and capacity planning to proactively address network issues and optimize performance.
  • Implement network security best practices and protocols, including access control, encryption, and threat mitigation techniques.
  • Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and services to meet current and future network requirements.
  • Show ownership and drive issues to conclusion including post-mortem phase, identifying root causes and improvement actions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest network security technologies, trends, and threats. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement security enhancements proactively.


What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years profound knowledge and experience in working in an Enterprise Network infrastructure.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification required; Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge in switching and routing domains: STP, VLAN, 802.1x, IPv6, LACP, Stacking, VRF, PBR, GRE, HSRP, secured VTI, OSPF, ISIS, BGP (iBGP, eBGP, MP-BGP), NAT, IPsec, ACL.
  • Hands on experience in Cisco Enterprise\Data Center Switches, Cisco Router ISR\ASR, Cisco ASA\Firepower\FTD \F5 Virtual Appliance.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms (e.g., Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ASR routers).
  • Knowledge of ACI components (Tenant, BD, VRF, APIC, L2out and L3out), Nexus DC technologies such as vPC, VXLAN.
  • Experience with network security technologies and best practices, such as firewall configuration, VPN implementation, and IDS/IPS systems.
  • Skilled in developing DDIN governance services, with a focus on DNS, DHCP, IP address management and certificates.
  • Familiar with SAFe Agile Framework and way of working.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you overcome challenges by being decisive and accept responsibility for your outcomes.
  • Constant desire to improve the status quo and improve your skills, learn from your mistakes, and take continuous action on your ideas.
  • Thorough analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex problems and propose practical solutions.
  • Work under pressure to meet customer network needs with quality, and in a timely manner and expected to respond after hours.

Contract: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a part-time opportunity (between 32 and 38 hours) as well.
