Technology Transactions Associate Attorney in TEXAS METROPOLITAN AREA

My client, a Leading Chambers Ranked Corporate Firm, is actively hiring a Mid to Senior-Level Software Licensing + Commercial Contracts Attorney to join its Licensing and Commercial Contracts Group in Austin.

You would join a prestigious corporate boutique and serve as a legal advisor to emerging companies, entrepreneurs, and investors. With a 1600 billable hour requirement, quarterly bonuses for any hours billed over monthly target, and EOY bonuses, this opportunity is not only rare, but also unposted and exclusive.

Compensation: $185,000 – $250,000 (HIGHER DOE) + Quarterly Bonuses + EOY Bonuses

• For any hours billed over the monthly target (based on a 1600/year target), you receive quarterly bonuses based on a specified percentage. Depending on how many hours you bill over target, these average between $25K-$75K annually.

Position: Mid- to Senior-Level Software Licensing + Commercial Contracts Attorney (Associate; Senior Associate; or Counsel)

• Experience: 3+ years’ experience in software licensing/SaaS, in either an in-house setting (small legal team) or a sophisticated law firm

Role Overview: This role is approximately a 60/40 split between software licensing and commercial contracts.

• You will advise on technology and commercial matters of all kinds, including SaaS, inbound and outbound licensing, blockchain technologies, software development and maintenance, open source software compliance, contract manufacturing and packaging, logistics and distributor arrangements, standard contract terms and conditions, and strategic commercial partnerships.
