Project Description:
Project is related to regulatory reporting for one of Clients from Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. There is an exclusive team developing & supporting approx. 25 systems in Securities area using Process OpenEdge solution. Current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław. We are extending team in Wroclaw for support with the technology stack upgrade (and moving towards strategic platform) to OpenEdge v12 & PASOE, as well as further business applications development and support.

We are looking for experienced engineer versed in Java/Kotlin with API and back-end development skills who is motivated to build our next generation Post-Trade & Custody ecosystem based on services and integration in modern, programming paradigms.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tech Lead engineer with strong leadership abilities and excellent technical expertise. In this role, you will not only provide technical guidance and expertise but also take on line manager responsibilities with a team of 5-6 engineers, ensuring success of our projects and the growth and development of our team members.
Mandatory Skills Description:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in a leadership or management role, guiding and mentoring a team of engineers
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns and best practices
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java/Kotlin, C# or similar
• Knowledge of frameworks like Spring Framework
• Experience in test driven development, continuous integration & deployment
• Experience in RDBMS such as MS SQL, Postgres or Oracle
• Understanding of a broad range of platforms, technologies and tools, specifically UNIX/Linux, Git & JIRA
• Excellent communication skills and experience in liaising with other teams
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

• Knowledge with Kafka including Streaming API
• Experience as engineer working in a globally distributed team
