We are looking for an experienced and proactive
Senior Business Analyst to support the optimization and automation of statutory and regulatory financial reporting. Your work will ensure the delivery of high-quality data and insights, enabling ING to meet its reporting obligations and support strategic decision-making.
Your work environment
Finance Information Management is part of the Finance department within Domestic Bank Netherlands (DBNL). The team is diverse in nationality, age, experience, and gender, fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality financial information to meet ING’s reporting obligations.
- Adapting to changes in the bank’s products, processes, and IT infrastructure.
- Meeting regulatory requirements and integrating business changes into financial reporting.
Office days are required twice a week, preferably on Mondays and Thursdays (flexible arrangements can be discussed).
Your role
You will join a (BusDevOps) squad of approximately eight colleagues within Finance Information Management. Together, you will:
- Lead finance-related changes: Support the Product Owner by gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into solution designs.
- Design and develop IT solutions: Work on scalable, maintainable solutions in collaboration with your squad members.
- End-to-end change management: From impact analysis to requirements gathering, solution design, testing, release, and aftercare, you will oversee the full change lifecycle.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to provide design alternatives and assess their impact to enable informed decision-making.
- User story development: Write user stories for engineers, define acceptance criteria, and guide testing and validation of solutions.
- Documentation and training: Translate solution designs into training materials and work instructions for end-users.
- Continuous improvement: Share lessons learned and best practices with the team to foster a culture of growth and innovation.
Requirements
What you bring
We are seeking a driven, independent thinker who excels in demanding environments. Key qualifications include:
Experience and Knowledge:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Proven experience in banking, specifically handling large datasets and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of statutory and regulatory financial reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL (essential for testing and validation); experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Agile and Lean working experience is beneficial.

Benefits
What we offer: - This role is initially for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to two years. Future internal opportunities may be available.
- A 36 hour workweek with flexible hours and a hybrid working model (office and home-based).
- Salary range: €5.996,00 - €7.800,00 gross per month (based on 36 hours per week, excluding holiday pay, based on experience).
- Additional benefits: holiday allowance, 13th month and pension contributions.

Interview process
The selection process consists of three rounds:
First round: Interview with two Product Owners
Second round: Discussion with a member of the management team and a stakeholder.
Third round: Conversation with two direct colleagues from the team.
Whenever possible, the first two rounds will be scheduled on the same day.
