My client is a Tokyo-based listed tech company and now hiring a Data Science Director to drive cutting-edge innovation at a market-leading company in Japan. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a talented team of 12 data scientists, advancing algorithm development and shaping the future of advertising technology worldwide.

Requirements

Must-have:

• 7+ years of experience in data science and machine learning within ad-tech or related industries.
• Expertise in Python and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Experience with databases such as Clickhouse, MySQL, or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with SSP/DSP platforms and predictive modeling techniques.
• Strong knowledge of algorithm optimization and dynamic creative development.
• Proven experience leading data science or technical teams, with a track record of delivering impactful results.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership to align technical initiatives with business strategy.

Nice to have:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with GitLab, Slack, and other collaboration tools.
• Understanding of generating AI solutions and the latest ad-tech trends.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a team of experts in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
