Role Overview:
As a Frontend Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing user-facing web applications that are both functional and intuitive.
You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and backend developers to create responsive, accessible, and secure platforms.
Your role will also involve integrating regulatory requirements such as data privacy and security into the user interface, ensuring the applications are compliant and up-to-date with the latest fintech trends and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- User Interface Development: Design, implement, and maintain responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web applications, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and design systems.
- Frontend Architecture: Build scalable and maintainable codebases optimized for performance using modern frameworks and libraries.
- API Integration: Work with backend engineers to integrate secure and efficient APIs, ensuring seamless data rendering and management.
- Security and Compliance: Implement secure coding practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
- Real-Time Functionality: Develop real-time features, such as live financial updates and transaction tracking.
- Financial Data Visualization: Create intuitive dashboards and data visualization tools to effectively display complex financial metrics and insights.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with product managers, designers, compliance officers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant, and user-centric solutions.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
Frontend Development Fundamentals:
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
- Proficiency in UI frameworks like Bootstrap, Material-UI, or Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with state management libraries like Redux, MobX, or Vuex.
- Experience with data visualization libraries like D3.js, Chart.js, or Highcharts.
API Integration:
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or Websockets.
- Understanding of OAuth or other secure authentication methods.
Testing, Quality Assurance & Performance:
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Karma.
- Experience with end-to-end testing tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Puppeteer.
- Understanding of browser rendering processes and tools like Lighthouse.
- Proficiency in optimizing frontend performance (e.g., lazy loading, bundling, and code splitting).
Good-to-Have:
- Fluency in Japanese, both written and spoken.
- Experience in regulated environments such as banking, payments, or financial services.
- Understanding of fintech-specific challenges, such as real-time data processing and secure financial transactions.
