About The Role
The SEO Analyst, with a special focus on website acquisitions, will identify underperforming or under-monetized websites and assess their potential for improvement. This role requires analyzing websites for SEO performance, traffic patterns, and monetization opportunities, while aligning them with our successful web properties for growth. The Analyst will collaborate with the acquisitions team to evaluate the viability and ROI of potential website purchases, ensuring strategies are integrated and actionable.
This position can be 100% remote worldwide.
Roles & Responsibilities
Innovative Research & Analysis:
- Develop creative and data-driven methods to identify potential acquisition websites.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of websites, focusing on SEO performance, monetization potential, and competitive positioning.
- Utilize SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Majestic to uncover opportunities and evaluate website potential.
Evaluation & Strategic Insights
- Identify underperforming or under-monetized websites and assess their growth potential.
- Compare potential acquisitions with existing successful websites to evaluate similarities and scalability.
- Leverage insights from SERP patterns and competitor analysis to inform acquisition strategies.
Trend Monitoring & Adaptation
- Continuously monitor SEO trends, algorithm updates, and SERP changes to refine strategies.
- Adjust research methodologies proactively based on test results to ensure long-term SEO success and ranking sustainability.
Data Driven Decision Making
- Analyze data to recognize patterns of success and failure in SEO strategies.
- Derive actionable insights and translate them into strategic recommendations for optimization and growth.
Collaboration & Communication
- Proactively flag new findings, insights, and opportunities to the Manager and acquisitions team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the ROI and viability of prospective acquisitions.
- Present findings and strategies clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Self Driven Optimization
- Test and refine methodologies independently to enhance research accuracy and efficiency.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems, maintaining a competitive and results-oriented focus.
- Apply technical expertise to ensure sustainability and long-term SEO success for acquired websites.
- Take on additional job-related responsibilities as required, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
