With a strong global presence and an esteemed clientele, the brand is seeking an experienced Head of Digital and Social Media with a heavy focus on social media and content creation to strategically lead and elevate its global digital presence.
Role Overview
As the Head of Digital and Social Media, you will take a hands-on, leadership role in developing, executing, and overseeing the brand’s global social media strategy. This role will require you to drive the creation and management of dynamic content across various social media platforms. You will lead an international team to ensure the brand’s vision, values, and narrative are consistently and compellingly conveyed, with an emphasis on content development, platform management, and direct execution. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin and English and possess deep knowledge of the APAC market, while also ensuring the brand's presence resonates globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Strategy & Execution: Design, implement, and manage a cohesive global social media strategy that aligns with brand objectives and drives engagement, growth, and brand identity.
- Content Creation & Calendar Management: Lead content strategy across social media channels, overseeing the creation of visuals, copy, multimedia, and campaign assets. Develop an editorial calendar that aligns with key marketing campaigns, product launches, and global events.
- Platform Management: Take ownership of social media platform management and day-to-day execution, including content publishing, community engagement, and account optimization across WeChat, Weibo, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
- Brand Storytelling: Develop and share compelling stories that resonate with the brand’s core audience, communicating the heritage, craftsmanship, and artistry behind each piece through digital content.
- Audience Growth & Engagement: Drive initiatives aimed at increasing followers, engagement, and community growth across key social media platforms, while ensuring the brand remains responsive and authentic to its audience.
- Performance Analytics & Optimization: Use data-driven insights and analytics to assess campaign performance, continuously optimize social media strategies, and refine content for improved engagement and ROI.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a dynamic international social media team, fostering collaboration and innovation. Work cross-functionally with the PR, creative, marketing, and e-commerce teams to ensure cohesive brand communication and strategy.
- APAC & Global Market Insights: Utilize your understanding of APAC consumer behavior, cultural nuances, and regional trends to tailor global strategies with localized relevance.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or brand strategy, with at least 5 years in luxury or high-end consumer goods. Experience in jewelry, fashion, or similar luxury sectors is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluent in both Mandarin and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- International Perspective: Proven experience leading global social media campaigns that bridge Western and APAC markets, with a focus on localized content for diverse audiences.
- Analytical and Strategic Mindset: Strong ability to interpret social media analytics, understand performance metrics, and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Cultural Sensitivity: A deep understanding of cultural nuances, particularly within the APAC region, and the ability to craft globally relevant content with localized appeal.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams, collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders, and fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
