Senior \ Principal Software Engineer (Front-end) in SLOVENIA

Project for a pharma company — operating at the intersection of machine learning, biological engineering, and medicine. This company has built a machine learning powered biomedicines platform with the potential to generate new drugs across a wide range of biologic modalities. This platform represents a potentially fundamental shift in what is possible in the field of biotherapeutic development.

Our toolset is anchored in a FAIR database that provides a common source of truth with robust and nimble data modeling capabilities, flexible integrations with third-party software, and a core suite of powerful applications that form the foundation of a unique company with equal parts “bio” and “tech”.

Stack: TypeScript (Aurelia), Java, Python, R, PostgreSQL, AWS.

Required experience and skills:

• 6+ years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript;
• hands-on experience with front-end frameworks such as Aurelia or Angular;
• proficiency in Python;
• expert knowledge of modern software engineering paradigms and best practices;
• excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills;
• sharp focus on outcomes and customer success;
• good English skills (both written and spoken, B2+).

Would be a plus if you have:

• understanding of cloud technologies (especially AWS), and experience building scalable and distributed systems;
• background in life sciences and/or biomedical engineering, preferably in a computational subfield.
