Our fully remote B2B tech marketing agency is looking for an experienced B2B Tech Marketing Writer and SEO Specialist. HCI Marketing and Communications serves clients in a variety of technical industries, such as embedded electronics, middleware, robotics & automation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and IT (SaaS). We hire strategic thinkers with B2B tech experience who are motivated to drive client success and provide service with excellence.
We are seeking a team member with the combination of writing, editing, analytical, and technical skills as well as SEO achievements. The role requires 10 years’ experience writing a wide variety of SEO-friendly long-form and short-form digital marketing content for B2B tech companies based on background materials and subject matter expert interviews. Long-form content includes corporate blogging, web pages, SEO pillar pages, newsletters, briefs, and white papers. Short-form content includes corporate blogging, checklists, infographic copy that provides visual direction to a graphic designer, landing pages, email campaigns, Google Ads text ads and LinkedIn posts.

On a typical week you will:
· Collaborate with other team members to support client content needs
· Strategize on content, estimate hours/costs, understand the client’s products/services, interview, draft/repurpose content, use SEO techniques when writing web copy, copy edit/proof, provide creative direction, and check the work of web developers and designers
· Span the domains of content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), customer engagement, search engine marketing (SEM), web content writing/creation, SEO copywriting, and digital marketing
· You maintain regular contact with clients and colleagues via email, phone, and other collaboration tools
· Meet with clients, present content and results, and serve as a temporary account manager when needed
· Execute projects on time and on budget with continuous team communication
· Proactively juggle the writing and SEO projects for multiple clients at once
· Ensure content reflects client’s brand messaging and accurately describes technology concepts
· Build and nurture client relationships, ensuring they feel cared for and have confidence that you understand their needs
· Share industry point of views (POVs), trends, and relevant opportunities with clients
· Evangelize B2B tech marketing principles and practices
· Maximize use of research and analytical tools and data-driven thinking to achieve KPIs
· Promote clients’ brands and technologies using best practices and marketing messaging

Requirements:
· 10 years of B2B tech marketing agency experience
· Exceptional writing and communication skills
· Deep understanding of the relationship between marketing campaigns and sales funnel
· Competence using Semrush and Google Analytics
· Recent in-depth experience with a marketing automation tool such as HubSpot, Pardot, Constant Contact, MailChimp, Marketo, or similar
· Experience writing paid search and sponsored social posts for Google Ads, LinkedIn, X
· Basic HTML/CSS as well as experience with WordPress or similar CMS is desirable
· Must be analytical, organized, and able to multi-task, plan and execute a variety of projects concurrently and think/work quickly and efficiently
· Candidate must have the ability to grasp and retain technical information
· Office software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and network file systems such as SharePoint)
· You have recent client, colleague, and supervisor references who are happy to sing your praises in all areas above.
