Description
The Senior Test Lead in this role will be responsible for leading and executing all aspects of the testing lifecycle for assigned projects. This includes developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies, overseeing test execution, analyzing test results, and communicating test progress and risks to project stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute high-level test strategies, resource plans for testing, test plans, and test cases.
- Oversee all phases of the testing lifecycle, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
- Lead and mentor junior test engineers and coordinate testing activities across multiple teams.
- Establish and track key quality metrics, such as defect density, test coverage, and test execution progress.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive test reports to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain all test documentation within Azure DevOps.
- Identify and mitigate testing risks and issues proactively.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and product owners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay abreast of the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
Required
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Previous experience in the airline industry (nice to have)
- Strong documentation skills
- Experience with HR/Payroll systems.
- Knowledge of JDE and Kronos applications.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools.
- Proficiency in various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, BDD).
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber).
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Certificates (Preferred): ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager, Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Ability to influence and communicate upward and laterally
- Strong communication skills - ability to describe technical processes to non-technical stakeholders
