To stay ahead in innovation, moving to AWS was an obvious choice. We now operate datacenters across AWS regions in Virginia, Dublin, and Sydney, utilizing around 600+ EC2 instances. These range from smaller T-series to larger R and X family servers. Our robust tech stack also includes services like ECS, Lambda, S3, Kinesis, SQS, RDS, and ElastiCache.


We also have three datacentres hosting the “data sovereign” version of our platform that don’t make use of providerspecific technologies, which enables us to host and maintain them just about anywhere in the world.


Currently, we’re hosting two instances of this platform on our infrastructure and another in Azure.


The team:


In our DevOps ecosystem, where software teams are responsible for building, deploying, and managing their own applications, we require expert-level technical specialists to support development teams when necessary. These experts will also be responsible for build and maintain a platform that enables the teams to deliver secure, efficient, and effective products.


As an ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified company, we need these technical experts to assist with implementing the controls defined in our internal policies and standards.


Given our rapid growth, the SaaS Platform Support function is critical to our ongoing success. It is comprised of five key areas: Database Administrators, Cloud Engineers, Compliance, Systems Administrators, and Operational Developers. Each of these areas is managed by experts who provide technical leadership in their respective fields.


We are looking for a skilled Senior Security Cloud Engineer to join us in this dynamic and exciting environment.


High-level responsibilities include:


  • Provide expert consulting support to development teams when they seek technical advice.
  • Execute requests from development teams, such as:
  • Setting up new virtual machines (VMs) in both VMware, AWS and Azure.
  • Implementing network-level changes
  • Investigating and resolving performance issues
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and address security gaps and propose mitigation measures.
  • Strive to standardize platforms across AWS, Azure, and VMware to minimize development teams’ exposure to subtle platform differences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain security controls for our cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure).
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule, with one week of standby every nine weeks, depending on team size.
  • Regular perform a Cloud security compliance report.
  • Identity and Access Management concepts and technologies to secure production and corporate access, such as: AAA frameworks, SSO, and security best practices related to identity.


Requirements:


  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (or higher)
  • Experience of AWS Cloud platform and AWS security best practices
  • Microsoft Active Directory → Intermediate to Expert
  • Network fundamentals
  • Comfortable with basic SQL tasks
  • Willingness to adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert in time management and multitasking
  • Experience in vulnerability management and application security testing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
