Job Title: Freelance Mobile Developer (React Native)
Location: Remote (Client Based in Belgium)
Job Type: Freelance/Contract (6 Months, Potential for Extension)
Languages: English (required), Dutch (preferred)
Overview:
An exciting opportunity awaits a talented Mobile Developer with expertise in React Native to join a greenfield project for a client based in Belgium. This fully remote role involves building a mobile app from the ground up, offering the chance to shape the project’s direction and bring innovative ideas to life.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing mobile apps from scratch and a solid background in web development, specifically with React, Node.js, and MongoDB. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension, providing an opportunity to work on a transformative project in a flexible and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy a mobile app from scratch using React Native.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration with backend systems built using Node.js and MongoDB.
- Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces that provide an exceptional user experience.
- Optimize the app for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Work closely with the web development team to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain a high standard of app reliability.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in React Native development, including building mobile apps from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in web development with React, Node.js, and MongoDB.
- Experience integrating APIs and third-party services into mobile applications.
- Familiarity with app deployment processes for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Solid understanding of Git and version control workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with greenfield projects or startup environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile app development.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Firebase) for app backend support.
- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and accessibility standards.
