Job Description
As a Blockchain Architect, you will work collaboratively with Developers and Product Owners in building and designing a blockchain-based architecture according to the received requirements for an innovative CBDC-based product.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
As a Blockchain Architect you’ll be responsible for:
- Designing a scalable blockchain-based application architecture for CBDC.
- Designing solutions for financial markets built on top of or interacting with a CBDC.
- Lead the development of the necessary codebase in Node.js and/or other backend-oriented languages.
- Lead the development of smart contracts on top of existing and custom blockchain platforms.
- Participating in a research process about traits, solutions, trends and security measures required for the proper use of blockchain technology.
- Writing and helping to maintain automated tests.
- Identifying security risks.
- Providing accurate timing estimates on work.
- Contributing to documentation (instructional and technical specification).
- Discussing technical solutions and providing innovative new ideas to established problems.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for the role will possess:
- Extensive experience in a software development or systems architecture role (4 yrs+).
- Previous experience in working with Blockchain-based applications (2 yrs+).
- Previous experience in working with smart contracts (2 yrs+).
- Previous experience in architecting solutions for any major blockchain platform (Ethereum, Hyperledger, Polkadot, EOS, Corda etc.) (1 yrs+).
- Experience in multiple different programming languages and technology architectures.
- Ability to lead technical teams comprising scientists, developers and business analysts.
- Ability to communicate technical matters clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, win supporters and spur people to action.
- Ability to document code and technical ideas.
- Willingness to learn and use the variety of different blockchain platforms.
- Good knowledge of security best practices.
- Good knowledge of the fundamentals of encryption.
- Comfortable setting up an environment from scratch.
- Initiative, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
- Work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- Comfortable working in an agile, scrum environment.
