Position Overview:


As an Associate Lead Engineer within our PC & Console division, you'll hold a vital position within our dynamic software development team. Your role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including designers and senior engineers, to lead the creation of cutting-edge gaming software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be coding and programming, ensuring the delivery of top-tier gaming software that meets player requirements and elevates the overall gaming experience. Your expertise will extend to enhancing game design, optimizing user interfaces, and implementing efficient solutions while adhering to coding best practices. Your profound understanding of contemporary software development and coding principles will be essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Lead engineer in managing the projects.
  • Ensures code quality, develops standards, and provides support for improvement.
  • Manages bug resolution, supports debugging, and reviews API designs.
  • Actively promotes patterns and paradigms for code quality.
  • Leads test case development, defines quality metrics, and evaluates project performance.
  • Breaks down tasks, maintains project documentation, and writes TDDs etc.
  • Proficient in esoteric language features, multiple programming paradigms, and hardware considerations.
  • Plans code architecture for complex issues and optimizes code.
  • Improves team management, assigns tasks based on strengths, and supports codebase improvements.
  • Resolves conflicts, encourages open discussions, and leads group problem-solving efforts.
  • Participates in interviews, defines technical skills, and collaborates on growth goals.
  • Administers the JFM process annually, updates it every 6 months, and sets goals based on the outcomes.


What You Bring To The Role

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive and quick learner.
  • Proficient in coding and programming, with a strong experience of C++ and Unreal Engine within the gaming development context.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and data structures.
  • Expertise in debugging and memory management.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing test cases.
  • Knowledgeable in API design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Previous experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages.
  • Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience in debugging and performance optimization.
  • Optional: Experience in mentoring junior team members.
