THE ROLE & THE TEAM


ZEOS Returns enables European fashion and lifestyle e-commerce merchants to utilize Zalando’s reverse logistics network and expertise, delivering a seamless customer return experience and achieving operational economies of scale. The return service currently supports merchants selling on the Zalando Partner Program and is set to extend its capabilities next year to serve merchants selling in other marketplaces and their own channels. We are a lean, cross-functional team responsible for the product’s P&L.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a key member of the ZEOS Returns team, responsible for ensuring the success of our most critical initiatives, varying in scope and complexity, from local projects to cross-Business Unit projects. Furthermore you will establish effective workflows and implement quality standards and project management methodologies in collaboration with technical, operational, and commercial teams.


WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)..



  • Lead cross-functional project teams across business units, driving multiple projects in parallel while keeping the team focused and ensuring goal delivery.
  • Collaborate with the ZEOS Project Management Office to integrate ZEOS Returns’ priorities and constraints into the business unit’s portfolio
  • Regularly report our progress and outcomes to stakeholders, maintaining thorough documentation for transparency and best practice sharing
  • Break down and translate project scope into manageable work packages and milestones.
  • Independently identify and discover issues within the project, navigating ambiguity and competing stakeholder priorities
  • Tailor communication to various stakeholders (both verbal and written), addressing their needs and constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage timelines by holding stakeholders accountable and proactively flagging risks and delays
  • Drive projects to completion and consistently follow through on commitments, despite challenges or deprioritization

  • Project Management – Expertise in advanced project management tools and methodologies, with experience in logistics, tech, or operations projects preferred.
  • Technical Acumen – Ability to understand technical requirements and create work packages for Product, Engineering, and Operations teams; comfortable leading in-depth discussions with domain experts, when needed.
  • Analytical Skills - Proactive problem-solver, who manages multiple projects, anticipates issues, and develops contingency plans with a big-picture view.
  • Leading Others - Demonstrates ownership of project outcomes, aligns the project team for engagement, and supports workstream leads in meeting project goals.
  • Stakeholder Management - Builds strong stakeholder relationships, ensures alignment, and facilitates collaboration and decision-making.
  • Data Proficiency - Skilled in working with data and making data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders; experience with JIRA and SQL is a plus.
  • Business Acumen & Strategy - Integrates Zalando B2B strategy and ZEOS Returns product roadmap into project goals, balancing business performance with strategic priorities.
  • Team Spirit - A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and celebrates team successes.
