We are seeking a talented Java Developer willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.


About the Role:

Our team develops on-premises server applications that connect businesses to financial networks. Based in Belgium, you will collaborate with a dynamic, agile team responsible for delivering solutions from customer engagement to operations. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies and tackle the challenges of refining a complex legacy codebase while adhering to high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and integrate new features, components, and improvements for compliance products.
  • Focus on configuration and integration aspects of the Alliance Messaging Hub software, delivering a wide range of functionalities.
  • Ensure code quality through test-driven development (TDD), pair programming, and peer reviews.
  • Simplify and optimize a complex legacy codebase to improve maintainability and performance.
  • Experiment with modern technologies, including container orchestration and CI/CD tooling, to enhance product value.
  • Contribute across all aspects of the development lifecycle, including software architecture, quality assurance, security, operations, and IT infrastructure.
  • Participate in DevOps practices, fostering a culture of continuous integration and delivery.


Skills and Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java development, particularly in Linux environments.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of test-driven development (TDD) methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze and improve complex legacy codebases.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, embracing collaboration, adaptability, and iterative development.


Optional Skills (Preferred but Not Mandatory):

  • Knowledge of build orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with full-stack development principles.
