  • Firewall Administration: Configure, monitor, and maintain firewall systems to secure network environments.
  • Software and Firmware Upgrades: Regularly administer firmware and software updates on network infrastructure to keep systems up to date and secure.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network infrastructure to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or issues proactively.
  • Process Automation: Implement automation in network processes using scripting or infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions, where feasible.
  • Documentation: Develop, update, and review documentation and technical specifications, ensuring infrastructure records are current and comprehensive.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly, minimizing disruptions to network services.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on hardware, network, and software components to sustain high performance and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the ICT team to coordinate efforts and address network-related needs across all sites.
  • Reverse Proxy and Load Balancer Administration: Manage and configure reverse proxy and load balancer equipment for optimal service delivery.

Additional (Non-Mandatory) Responsibilities:

  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Participate in the design and implementation of replication and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical infrastructure.
  • Configuration Management: Utilize configuration management frameworks to streamline infrastructure operations.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Further develop infrastructure as code practices to enhance scalability and consistency across network environments.
  • Network Equipment Support: Operate and support network equipment, ensuring it meets operational standards.
  • Software-Defined Networking (SDN): Assist in implementing software-defined networking solutions to improve network management and flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in network administration, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of network topologies, firewall management, and load balancing.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and familiarity with infrastructure as code.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and software-defined networking is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support EUAA locations.
