Job Overview
In order to support the continuous growth of our business, we are looking to recruit a SeniorManager Projects R&D. Within a team of more than 50 R&D colleagues, you manage a team of ~3 project managers. You help create and implement the right processes and templates for managing projects and support the project managers to meet the objectives of their projects. Besides managing and improving the team of project managers, you will manage a (limited) number of projects yourself. For these projects you are responsible for delivering projects within the set objectives, from a planning perspective as well as a quality and financial perspective. The development projects are different in scope and for both internal and external customers. We develop our projects with a mix of waterfall and/or agile processes.
In addition to managing some projects yourself, you are responsible for the overall portfolio management and alignment of projects that have an interdependency. You have regular contact with external and internal customers. Within this position, you report to the Managing Director of R&D.
Job Criteria
Bachelor or Master degree
5+ years of relevant experience as a team leader/project manager in a technical (software) product development environment
Experience with Agile product development
Experience with international customers and managing & reporting their project portfolio
Experience in managing multinational and multicultural teams and eagerness to work with different cultures
Good knowledge of project management tools (JIRA is a plus), including experience in the set-up of project KPIs and project control
A drive to continuously improve
Positive mindset
Strong command of spoken and written English is a must. Other European languages such as Dutch, German or French are a plus
Willingness to travel (with some regularity) to support international projects
Affinity with embedded software and/or the agricultural sector is a plus
