The Principal Software Architect is responsible for owning the technical software roadmap, aligning it with the overall system and technology strategy. This role involves leading a team of software architects and technical leads tasked with developing robust and scalable software architectures that support the entire lifecycle of complex modules and machines. The position requires active collaboration within a cross-functional team, working closely with other architects to co-own multi-year product roadmaps. Additionally, the role focuses on building and continuously improving software teams to ensure efficient and seamless operations.
Key Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Software Development, Informatics, or a related field, with at least 15 years of experience as a lead software architect.
- Expertise in software architectural principles, with the ability to guide teams in applying these principles and ensuring adherence.
- Proven track record in developing, implementing, and maintaining architectural roadmaps in growing software organizations, specifically for complex, high-tech machine control involving real-time software and operating systems.
- Strong background in technical leadership and coaching software teams, with the ability to balance leadership with team autonomy.
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment with diverse stakeholder involvement.
- Experience supporting software processes from an architectural perspective, including Requirements Management, Continuous Integration/Delivery, Quality Assurance, and Configuration Management.
- Proficiency in English.
